I wrote this in the summer of the bad times.

Movement 1 - A Prelude to Nothing is the grey I feel most days. It is the feeling of non-agency and that even though some brief moments of hope shine, it ultimately is squashed.

Movement 2 - The Charge to Death is a direct commentary on the state of affairs that haven't really changed since then. Riots, intense nature disasters, and way too many gunshots where the all I heard and saw during the summer.

Movement 3 - Dead Dreams and Lost Hope is an attempt to find peace throughout all of the previous and future chaos. It is also a coming to terms with having to leave friends behind. The lost hope can be interpreted as the death of hopeful futures that one may have had.
